I am not ashamed to admit that I have a few organic baby clothes for my son, Ryan. In fact, I even received a set of four organic onesies from an online company and reviewed them last year.

Why should you go organic with your choice of clothing? Well, why not? Organic baby clothing is made from specially harvested cotton and other natural materials that are not grown with any pesticides, fertilizers and irrigation. Your baby will be wearing the very best in materials, with no worry about harmful synthetic pesticides and the like irritating her delicate skin.

Sandbox Couture has jumped aboard the organic baby clothing line. They have recently unveiled a line of organic baby clothes that are made from bamboo!

Check out these bright and bold onesies:

There are also t-shirts, pants, baby gear and accessories. You can check everything out at Sandbox Couture!

When I first saw these when I was pregnant with my now twenty month year old son, I thought I would melt from the cuteness. Unfortunately for me, I forgot all about BabyLegs until I saw them at Target last month. I bet you can imagine what I purchased that day.

BabyLegs, which sell for about $12 a pair, are basically thigh high socks minus the foot part. They are 80% cotton, 15% polyester and 5% spandex. BabyLegs also come in natural organic cotton and organic wool. They come in a variety of colors and styles, including solid, stripes, plaid, polkadots, and funky repeating patterns.

My only critique about the BabyLegs is their tendency to roll down. I wish they came with wider cuffs to keep the BabyLegs up around the thighs. Either that, or someone better manufacturer baby garters!

Nubius Organics is an online company that is environmentally conscious, and strives to make sure that all of their apparel products are eco-friendly. The company was generous enough to send me some onesies to try out with Ryan, my seventeen month old son. Or so I thought. Alyssa, my three year old daughter, insisted on trying out the “cute bunsies!”, so we squished her into one as well. Although I must say, it wasn’t as much of a squish as I thought it would be. Despite being marked 12-18 months, the onesies are slightly bigger than Ryan’s Carter brand 24 month onesies, and being organic cotton, have great stretching power. For reference, Ryan is 33″ tall and 29 lbs., and Alyssa is 37″ tall and 32 lbs. Even after being washed, there was minimal shrinkage, so the onesies still fit wonderfully (if a bit snugly, particularly on Alyssa). For a quick photo shoot, we dressed both kids in the onesies tonight after their bath:

The three onesies arrived in a stylish cotton sack, and are so cute with their slogans (Perfect Peach, Apple of My Eye, Sweet Pea) that I didn’t know which one to put on Ryan first! My husband suggested Sweet Pea, and Alyssa snatched up Apple of My Eye.

Bottom line, I really like these onesies. In addition to being eco-friendly, the off-white color of organic cotton is a nice change from your basic, everyday white. The onesies are incredibly soft, high quality, and very reasonably priced. In addition to baby clothes, Nubius Organics has men’s and women’s apparel, bags and other accessories, so be sure to check them out.
