Website: sidelineapparel.com

sidelineapparel.com is a website that carries sports jerseys and shirts for all sorts of teams, including the NFL and NCAA. Sizes range from Youth Jerseys & Apparel all the way up to mens and womens sizes.

My husband’s favorite team is the Pittsburgh Steelers… I should see about getting him a jersey for that team!

What are you doing with your tax stimulus rebate check?

It’s a secret

16 Apr 2008 Filed under: Everything else

Sshhh… don’t tell my husband, but I’m thinking of buying him one of several tungsten rings I’m looking at on titanium-jewelry.com. He isn’t into gold, with the exception of his engagement band (yes, I proposed to him; several months after he proposed to me. We wanted to strengthen our commitment to each other), and sterling silver is just… meh. But titanium? Titanium is neat.

And I think it would make a good gift for someone who is hard to shop for. Hi, I’m Jenn, and I’ve known my husband for almost eight years, but I suck at picking out a good birthday present for him.

Crayola Bathtub Crayons

13 Apr 2008 Filed under: Reviews

Crayola Bathtub Crayons Both of my toddlers love bath time, so I’m always on the lookout for new and innovative bath toys that aren’t like every other bath toy that’s on the market — or already in our bath tub.

So when I saw Crayola Bathtub Crayons the other day, I knew they’d be perfect. Scribbling on surfaces that are normally off limits + bath = a very fun time for my kids. The crayons are surface friendly, and wipe right off with a washcloth. However, I did find that if you leave the crayon scribble up on the wall for a day or more, it will require a bit of effort to scrub off. But otherwise, they’re perfect!

Digital Concepts SD Card Reader

13 Apr 2008 Filed under: Reviews

After I bought my Nikon D40x digital SLR camera, I decided to upgrade my existing memory card, a 1GB SD memory card, to a 4GB SDHC memory card. However, I didn’t do a lot of reading on terms of compatibility, so imagine my surprise when my existing media card readers on my desktop and laptop refused to read the SDHC memory card.

I had been making do with connecting my camera directly to my computer and laptop with the use of the USB cable, but I really wanted to be able to plug the SDHC memory card in directly. So while I was out two weeks ago, I picked up a Digital Concepts SD Card Reader. I paid less than $10, and while the construction of the card reader itself is a little chinsy feeling, and the little cover that snaps over the end of the inserted card broke off after just three uses, the card reader works flawlessly. If you want a cheap, bare bones and functional card reader, I definitely recommend the Digital Concepts SD Card Reader.

Earlier today, I came across 3gb.biz, which is yet another social networking site. With this site, registraton is free. Once you’re a registered member, you can join the hundreds of other members in writing blogs, chatting with one another, creating albums, uploading photos, and sharing music on the site’s integrated mp3 playing and sharing system.

The site looks pretty new and bare bones at the moment, but I’m sure that it has the potential to grow into something nice.

Printer and contacts: resolved

13 Apr 2008 Filed under: General

My printer woes have been resolved: I found a barely used B9180 on eBay that wasn’t much more than what I paid for the 8750. I have the 8750 up for sale, since there is nothing wrong with it. I did include a note on the auction, warning potential buyers of the Windows Vista bug.

The contacts I ordered from Vision Direct finally arrived on April 12th. Buyer beware: you won’t receive your order in a timely manner, so make sure you have three or four weeks available with your current contacts, or a replacement pair, before ordering from this company. I’ll certainly keep that in mind, if I choose to use them again. They had the best priced contacts and free shipping, but I don’t know if I want to do business with a company that didn’t ship out my contacts until the day after when I should have received them.

Speaking of sight, I need to pick up a pair of glasses for my grandfather. He wants magnifying glasses, like the ones at firststreetonline.com, but I think it would better to take him and get his eyes examined, and then pick out prescription glasses that would fit him perfectly. But trying telling him that. Ugh. Why must he be so stubborn?!
