(Dear Always: Ever since I first heard about Always Infinity, I have been hearing Buzz Lightyear’s “To infinity, and beyond!” in my head EVERY SINGLE DAY)
Most of the time I don’t do pads. But the first day of my period is usually wicked painful, and the thought of putting anything near, let alone IN, my girly parts, is enough to have me weeping and cringing in a corner somewhere. So I do keep pads around, to get through the excruciating first day or so. Usually I buy some form of Always with wings and be done with it. But pads do sprout leaks, they shift and they bunch, so I was interested in the newest pad product on the market, Always Infinity.
Always Infinity claims to be different than other pads. Supposedly the absorbency is better, the special mesh top layer will trap moisture and wick it away instantly, and the super-adhesive wings will actually stay put. A special top sheet makes the pad very comfortable to wear, and supposedly the whole thing won’t shift and bunch like other pads (including other Always pads!) so often do.
By the way, I’m one day one of my period. I bought a box of Always Infinity last week, and I’m using one of the pads today. I must agree that the top sheet, whatever it’s made of, really IS comfortable. It’s soft, almost fleece-like to the touch. It doesn’t feel hard, scratchy and uncomfortable like other pads do.
I’ll post a more in-depth review of the Always Infinity line of pads later this week, once I’ve had a good chance to experience them.
Psst… right now you can get a free sample of Always Infinity to try out! Just check out the main website right here, and fill out the form.
Peek is a product I am really excited about. Imagine having a cell phone-like device that is all about email. Checking email, sending email. Anytime, anywhere, managing up to three email accounts. Currently, all of the major providers like Yahoo, AOL and Gmail are covered, and you can have personal/business POP3 accounts added by the friendly customer service representatives that are available by phone, and also through the Peek boards.

The Peek is a no-strings attached product. $100 gets you the device, which is about the size of an iPod (but with a much better battery life), and $20 per month gets you the hassle-free service plan that enables you to handle email while on the go, 24/7, anywhere in the United States (rural areas included!).
I have been using the Peek for almost a week now, and I can’t wait to really start the in-depth review about it!
A few weeks ago JavaFit contacted me to see if I would be interested in reviewing their java coffee products. I’m not a coffee drinker, but just about everyone in my family does enjoy coffee (my mother and grandfather especially), and so do my close friends. I had planned on doing some test runs of the coffee on our daughter’s fourth birthday party, which was held on November 1st, but that didn’t work out. Instead, I’ll be brewing up batches of coffee over the next few weeks, and I’ll make sure to make up a few batches on Thanksgiving.
JavaFit coffee comes from the Javalution coffee company, which is based in Florida. JavaFit coffee comes in several blends, including Energy Extreme, Diet Plus, Focus Plus Multi-Vitamin, Immune Plus Multi-Vitamin, and the basic Original Roast. You can see a full lineup of the coffee products here.
You’ll notice that I made mention of the diet version (Diet Plus) of JavaFit. The next time you’re thinking of trying out best diet pill, why not instead try making small reductions to your current diet? Changing your regular coffee to a diet-friendly one, for example, or using 1% milk instead of 2% milk in your daily bowl of cereal, can definitely have an impact over time.
I can’t wait to report the many reviews of JavaFit coffee that are sure to come!
When I saw this shirt in Target last week, I knew I had to have it. Not for me, of course, but for Dan! He looks really good in dark colors, and he has been in need of some dressier shirts for quite a while. I definitely have good taste, because the Red Level Nine woven shirt fits him well. It is snug fitting and does a very good job of defining muscles and contours, and generally making my husband look quite sexy.
This shirt not only looks good, but it feels good when you touch it. It is slightly elasticized, so while it fits snugly, it does “give”. This is the type of shirt that will look good alone, or look good when paired with your choice of silk ties.
You know what sounds fancy? Oscar de la Renta. It’s so fancy, in fact, that right off the bat I didn’t even know what it was. Whoops. Anywa, Oscar is a spiffy fashion designer, in case you were curious.
I’ve got a lot swirling around in my brain right now. I’m brainstorming some photography session ideas with my mother. Namely, taking photos of those Yorkshire terrier dogs that are owned by those crazy women who baby and pamper the hell out of their pets. These women will gladly drop hundreds for dog apparel, so I’m sure they’d be willing to drop $100 for a photography session that includes a hundred photos!
I saw the term Blackberry plants, and the first thing that came to mind is the Blackberry Storm that both my brother-in-law and my friend Jason are itching to get their hands on. I don’t know about Jason, but my brother-in-law has his pre-ordered and should be getting it either this Saturday or next.
Me? Well, I have T-Mobile, so obviously a Blackberry Storm isn’t going to work out for me. And for the most part, I’m quite content with both the service and my phone — a T-Mobile Dash.
I’m a technology oriented girl. Not only do I love computers, laptops, digital cameras and accessories, I’m hooked on the internet. For me, the internet used to be just about fun, socializing and web design. It still is, but more of my focus is on work, since I work exclusively on the internet. Since I work for several different companies and a few clients, I need to be on the ball with checking email and responding to new projects and requests.
But as a lot of you guys know, I’m quite busy with Alyssa and Ryan especially (two years old + autism = turbo terrible toddler two’s), and I also go out a lot. We take Alyssa and Ryan out several times a week, weather permitting, and I’m also out a lot with my mom. We go to visit my brothers at least once a week each, and each of them are close to fifty miles away from us — in opposite directions. To give you a good idea on how much I’ve been on the go since mid-September, consider the mileage: over 1500 miles on the Hyundai since late September, and over 1000 miles on the Kia since early October. Yeah, it makes me sick, too. Especially when I consider the fact that I’ve had the Kia since December of 2005, and as of June 2008 I had only put 12,000 miles on it!
Anyway, checking email at home AND on the go is an absolute must for me. So when the guys behind the new and innovative Peek contacted me and asked if I would be interested in reviewing their product, I spent a few minutes reading their email and checking out the website, and then responded with a definite yes!
The Peek is like a cell phone, only without the phone features. Instead, it is ALL about email, and enabling you to send and receive on the go, wherever you are in the United States. It features a full QWERTY keyboard, space key, shift key, all that jazz. On the side of the Peek is a scroll wheel and a little button beneath that works as the “back” button. In addition to scrolling, the scroll wheel can be clicked to reveal a navigation menu, and also to confirm changes and menu selections. The Peek comes in black, cherry red or aqua blue, and is about the size of an iPod. The keyboard is backlit, and the Peek offers several color themes on the device itself.
Peek costs just under $100 at Target, but right now you can get it for $79.95 (yay for holiday shopping!). If you decide to order online, then you’ll love the free shipping that Target is offering right now! The monthly $19.95 service for Peek includes unlimited access for up to three POP3 email addresses. Free public domain addresses like Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo can be setup automatically on the device; others like those accounts for personal domains (such as jenn.nu) can be set up manually through the excellent Peek customer support team (they can be reached via phone, email, through the Peek boards, even on Facebook, Flickr and Twitter!).
I have been using the Peek for about a week now, and I really enjoy it. Setting up the Peek was a breeze. I did have to contact the guys at Peek to have my x@jenn.nu email account set up (all this required was sending them the mail server information; I didn’t have to give out my password anywhere but on the Peek device itself), but they were very quick in getting back to me. The wireless service is working great, though I have noticed one or two dead spots here in the house (not a surprise or a negative mark against Peek; I DO live in a very rural area, and rarely get cell phone reception in the house!). The battery life is quite impressive — I’ve let the Peek stay on for three days straight while checking email off and on.
I do two have two minor critiques about the Peek, but they’re minor in comparison to the features that the device offers. First, the keys are a little hard to depress. Typing out a short email to Danielle last week made my hand cramp out. The space bar is especially stiff. But I’m keeping at it, and it feels like the keys are beginning to “soften” a bit. Second, I think it would be great if the Peek had a car charger available for it.
Oh, and one really GREAT thing about the Peek? It seems quite kid friendly. Trust me, I’m speaking from experience here.
Overall, I really do like the Peek, and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a contract-free, no-credit-check-required way to conveniently and affordably check their email while they’re out and about.
