I have a desktop computer and a laptop computer (as well as a small netbook, which I am using right now), and I love both, and I also appreciate them for their advantages, and understand their disadvantages. If you’re in the market for a new computer and haven’t decided whether you’d be interested in desktops or laptops, here are a few key things to consider:
Desktops:
- unless you have a generator or other power backup, you won’t be able to use it if the power goes out
- consumers more power than a laptop
- can be loud
- requires you to sit in one area, in one position (can be uncomfortable for long lengths of time)
Laptops:
- can overheat
- may not be as comfortable as a desktop
- are generally not as powerful as desktops

EdenFantasys has so much more than sex toys. Over the past few months they have been busy adding to their lingerie collection, expanding it to include bra and panty sets, and plenty of club wear items. But more excitingly for yours truly, who works from home and thus doesn’t go clubbing, and who already has a drawer full of lingerie, is the addition of many bath and beauty products!
One of my recent purchases was Cake’s Cake Supremely Rich Bath and Shower Froth, and I love it! Its coconut and vanilla scent is distinct, yet light enough to not be cloying or overly sweet. The soap is indeed rich and frothy – a quarter-sized amount provides enough lather and moisturization for showering and shaving with. And during the cold, dry winter season, one thing I can never get enough of is a body wash that makes my skin soft, smoothly, and supremely moisturized.

You can purchase Cake Supremely Rich Bath and Shower Froth for $19.99 at EdenFantasys.com. Be sure to use coupon code ES2 to save 15% on your order!

So here’s my confession: I’m not nearly as eco-friendly or energy efficient as I should be, as I could be. But slowly and surely, I’m making changes. I drive an economical vehicle, and I try to plan and execute my errands and trips so that I don’t waste gas (bonus: I save on having to fill up my tank more often!). And here at home, I do the majority of our wash in the early morning or evening, when electricity rates are cheaper. We have a high efficiency washer and dryer, and I do most loads on cold cycles.
Then there are our lights. Until recently we have been using standard light bulbs. We still have a few here and there, but we switched to CFL light bulbs in our living room and in the bedrooms. Then I read about an opportunity to review Infinity LED Ultra Series LED Light Bulbs. While CFL light bulbs are certainly energy efficient, LED light bulbs are even more efficient. And the Infinity LED Ultra Series LED Light Bulbs are certainly worth writing home about. Each of these specialty bulbs contains 88 small LED lights which are evenly distributed, and together put out 35,000+ continuous hours (that’s 4 years) worth of lighting. You can save up to 93% of your lighting costs per bulb when you use these bulbs.
Infinity LED Ultra Series LED Light Bulbs are available in two color temperatures – cool white, which is more of a blue light like what you would find in stores and medical offices; and warm white, which is more of a yellow light like what you would find in homes. While cool lighting can certainly have its place in homes (such as in bathrooms, kitchens, and garages), I’m a fan of warm lighting.
Then there’s the wattage – the 3W power consumption is equivalent to that of a 40W incandescent bulb, and would be appropriate for small rooms and reading lamps. The 4W power consumption is equivalent to that of a 60W incandescent bulb, and is perfect for living rooms, family rooms, and bedrooms.
We popped out our CFL light bulbs and replaced them with the Infinity LED Ultra Series LED Light Bulbs, and with the exception of brightness (our CFL light bulbs had a wattage equivalent to a 100W incandescent bulb), there’s no difference in the light temperature, its steadiness, and how well it comes through the lamp shades. Here are the before and after shots:
My husband and I are quite satisfied with the quality of the Infinity LED Ultra Series LED Light Bulbs, and we’re both excited to see how our electricity bill might change – especially once we replace all of the bulbs in our house with LED light bulbs. Yes, LED light bulbs are pricier than even CFL light bulbs (right now the 3W/40W equivalent LED light bulb is $15.75), but they are much more energy efficient, and are designed to last a lot longer – so it won’t be long until they pay for themselves!

I’m kidding, mostly. I can sing. I can’t sing exceptionally well, and I’m hopeless as a soprano (I was always alto, thank you very much), but I can sing decently. Now, when it comes to playing instruments? Forget it. I taught myself to play “Mary Had A Little Lamb” and “Silent Night” on an electronic organ when I was 8 or 9 years old, but other than that I’m hopeless. It doesn’t matter if you give me a choice of olp guitars, a violin, or a $10,000 baby grand piano. I can’t read music, so therefore I can’t play music.
But even if I could play music, in the end I’d probably choose to sing – I’ve always loved to sing! How about you?
Smart & Sexy is a manufacturer of sexy sleepwear, lingerie, sexy sleepwear, bridal wear, bras, panties, bra and panty sets, swimwear and other “intimate” apparel items that are all worth checking out if the idea of sexy, comfortable, wearable, and affordable intimate apparel appeals to you. Smart & Sexy’s merchandise is available for purchase online, through their web store, and at most local Walmarts. I’ve owned two of their bras in the past, and recently I had the opportunity to review a black underwire bra (love the fit, and the sexy look it gives my breasts and cleavage!), a zebra print, lace-trimmed pair of boyleg (boy short) panties (cute, sassy, fun, comfortable!); and a sexy black underwire chemise/teddy (amazing fit, flattering fit, perfect for my husband and I to enjoy ♥).
What I like about Smart & Sexy, besides their affordable products (most of the bras are just $15, sleepwear and lingerie is between $15-$20, and panties start at $6), is that these affordable products are gorgeous, sexy, fashionable & flirtatious, and perfect for everyday wear or those special nights. With many colors, styles, and sizes available, there’s something for every woman.

In an effort to be more eco-friendly, I’m cutting down on the amount of plastic bags I use. When I do bring home plastic bags for grocery stores, I re-use them as liners for the bathroom trash cans, rather than purchasing separate, smaller-sized garbage bags for that purpose. But still, there’s something to be said for reusable bags and tote bags. Not only are they more eco-friendly, they’re more durable than plastic bags, and are almost always designed to not only hold more, but be carried comfortably, either over your shoulder or in your hands.
SnapSac enables consumers to rethink the decision to use plastic grocery bags by offering stylish, high quality, durable, and functional reusable tote bags. The founder of SnapSac, Lisa Foster, reports that in 2005 less than 5% of American consumers made use of reusable bags. Now, in 2012, her research is showing that 54% of female shoppers in the 18-55 age demographic use reusable bag users. And now I am going to become one of them!
SnapSac generously sent me four of their SnapSacs:
- Social (Petite Tote): 18″ x 12″ x 7.5″, perfect for the times when you need something a little bigger – or something in addition to – your purse
- Splurge (Super Tote): 24″ x 16.5″ x 12″, perfect for a small grocery shopping trip or a change of clothes
- Shoppe (Grocery Tote): 12.5″ x 17″ x 8″, great for holding heavier groceries; its depth makes it easy to place items like liters of soda, gallons of milk, and cereal all together in one bag
- Spree (Mega Tote): 28″ x 19″ x 12″, bring home everything and the kitchen sink in this bad boy!
I can’t wait to hit up the grocery store and pet store with these stylish, functional bags. I’m looking forward to reducing the amount of plastic I contribute to factories producing, and having a convenient, reliable way of packing up my purchases, transporting them to my car, then bringing them into my house.
