MY. GOD. I am in love. I usually don’t use caps (and period-separated words) in blog entries except to convey enthusiasm – so let’s just say that I am very enthusiastic about Amore Pacific Treatment Cleansing Foam!

Amore Pacific Treatment Cleansing Foam is a botanical cleanser designed for facial cleansing – both for removing makeup and for providing general facial cleansing. Initially it dispenses into your hands in cream form, but just add a little water (wet hands seem to be sufficient) and rub together to create a rich, foamy, slightly abrasive (due to the little cleansing beads) lather to apply to your face and neck. Apply to wet skin, rub in gentle circles, then rinse.

My most favorite thing about Treatment Cleansing Foam is the scent – so clean, so fresh! But just as importantly, the cleanser does an excellent job of cleaning my face and leaving my skin feeling clean and silky smooth.

It’s a little pricey ($50 at Sephora), but the product works amazingly well, and since a little goes a long way (a dime-sized amount is more than adequate), it’s worth it!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

I never thought much about jeans for guys until I really got a good look at my husband in a few specific pairs of his. Specifically, in low-rise bootcut jeans that are snug around the butt and thighs, and a pair of skinny jeans. My husband is 205 lbs and has a muscular, stocky build, and while it’s hilarious to watch him shimmy and curtsy his way into a pair of skinny jeans, once he gets himself and all of his manly bits packed into them, the result is mouth-watering (no pics, heh). I think I’m liking the selection of carhartt jeans at Dungarees.net. I wonder what my husband would think of them. I think his personal preference runs more towards relax, bootcut jeans, which is what he mostly owns, but he doesn’t mind donning the occasional pair of sexy ones to get me to look twice at him, heh.

I was never one for collecting. I “collect” nail polishes in the sense that I have a lot of them, and I even use a spreadsheet to keep track of them all, but that’s because with over 180 nail polishes (I’m currently at 187), you need to have a spreadsheet so you don’t wind up with duplicates!). I never collected rocks, stamps, coins (or even bullion like silver eagle at Golden Eagle), or any other things. And it looks like my kids are the same way. My seven year old daughter, Alyssa, briefly expressed an interest in trying to collect a penny for every year, but she lost interest in a matter of days. My son Ryan is five, and has shown no interest in collecting whatsoever.

What about you? Have you ever collected anything?

Maybe it’s because I’m a mom and it just seems weird to wear bright red lipstick when I’m shuttling my children to and from their various activities, or maybe it’s just me. In any case, bring on the balms! I’m a fan of Burt’s Bees and Moody Bee, and recently, I’ve come to love Say Yes to Carrots. Say Yes to Carrots Color Balm is a lip balm that glides on much like regular lip balm (think Chap Stick), only it has color. The color I have is Rosy Bloom, which is a light rosy shade with a bit of an orange undertone. The color is delivered consistently and doesn’t seem to separate from the balm itself, which is nice when you want both color and moisture.

But the pictures of the brush and descriptions of what the mascara would do for my eyelashes didn’t really do anything for me. But recently I had a $1.00 coupon for any Maybelline product, and Target had a sale of their own, so I picked up a tube of Maybelline Great Lash Mascara for $2. And after several weeks of using it, I have finally seen the light: Maybelline Great Lash Mascara freakin’ rocks.

The secret to using this mascara is layering. Some mascaras work best with 1-2 coats. Some work best when you let coats dry completely before applying another one. With Maybelline Great Lash, put on a coat, then put on and another – and another and another, until you’ve built up your lashes to the desired length and thickness. I’ve had very little issues in terms of clumping or mascara globs, and I’m really pleased at how dark, intense, and full my eyelashes look. I generally use three coats on my upper lashes and one on my lower lashes, and I’m good to go!

Since I use an exfoliator for my face one to two times per week, it only makes sense that I should also pamper my lips in the same way – first with an exfoliator, and then with an ultra-moisturizing lip treatment. I have plenty of the latter, but until I ordered Not Soap Radio’s Brown Sugar Lip Scrub from EdenFantasys, I didn’t have any of the former.

Not Soap Radio’s Brown Sugar Lip Scrub is a scrub that you apply to your lips and rub in gently, either with your finger or a toothbrush. The little pot contains approximately 0.3 ounces of the scrub, which smells and tastes just like brown sugar. A very little bit of this product goes a long way, and I’ve found that it’s easiest to use in the shower, where I can easily rinse off the scrub once I’ve finished with it.

Brown Sugar Lip Scrub leaves my lips feeling soft, fresh, and slightly tingly, and the scrub does an excellent job of removing dead skin and leaving my lips feel silky smooth and ready for the perfect aftercare – a gentle moisturizing lip balm.

You can purchase No Soap Radio’s Brown Sugar Lip Scrub at EdenFantasys, an online sex toys retailer, for $7.99.
