The Houston Rodeo is an annual rodeo that is held every March in Houston, TX. In addition to the rodeo and livestock show, there are also concerts that take place every night, and a huge carnival that features many unique and awesome rides, including a ferris wheel that is the biggest of its kind (carnival ferris wheel) in the western hemisphere! This year’s performing artists include:

  • Janet Jackson
  • Kid Rock
  • Keith Urban
  • Kiss
  • Zac Brown Band

Check out the full Houston Rodeo lineup! I have always wanted to attend a rodeo, and whether you’re single, you have a significant other or you have an entire family, the Houston Rodeo definitely has something to offer you. Rodeoing is a unique experience in and of itself, and then there’s the livestock show and judging to check out, the carnival to have fun in, and the many concerts to take your pick of. Live! There's a Party in my City! Hands down, my three year old son’s favorite show is Yo Gabba Gabba!. He has several Yo Gabba Gabba! toys, including plush animals, a large floor puzzle, and several coloring books. Have I mentioned that my son is autistic? He doesn’t normally “take” to any particular show, so him attaching himself to Yo Gabba Gabba! is pretty cool. The premise behind Yo Gabba Gabba! is, in my opinion, Sesame Street meets New York City. In other words, the show is hip, hot, trendy, but most importantly, appropriate for young children and educational.

But if you’re reading this, you probably know all that, so let’s jump right into things: on August 27th, 2010, Yo Gabba Gabba! will be kicking off a massive 60 city tour! The show will start with Bethel, New York and end in Dallas, Texas. Stops in between include big cities like Philadelphia, Harrisburg, and Pittsburgh, and smaller places including Virginia, New Hampshire, all across the US, and even up into Canada!

Tickets and special Party Packages went on sale on June 4th, 2010, so if you haven’t gotten your tickets yet, now’s the time to do so, because you know people will be rushing to grab up tickets to such a popular television show! $1 from every ticket sale will go to benefit the local Habitat for Humanity Affilate in whatever city the ticket was sold for, so you’ll be giving back to the community as well!

I’m not fond of the floral, frock-happy tops for myself, but I definitely have my eye on a few things for Alyssa. The bedding collections are just gorgeous, by the way. I was unable to resist a pretty green & blue one, though of course I can’t find it listed on the website.

Anyway, I definitely recommend that you get over to Target and see the Liberty of London collection! From clothes (men, women, intimates, kids, babies!) to bedding to housewares to gardening accessories, there’s plenty to choose from. :)
