I’m 26 years old and I already suffer from dry hands. It’s sad but true. It’s not too bad year round, but it does flare up in the fall and winter, and occasionally in the summer, when weeks worth of hot weather, the handling of sunscreen and exposure to chlorinated water has taken its toll on my skin. I’m not a fan of specialty creams and lotions, but I do enjoy keeping small bottles of lotion about so that I can moisturize as I go about my daily business.
While I was at BlogHer ’10 I was given a swag bag by a lovely lady in a lab coat that contained several Eucerin products, including Eucerin Daily Skin Balance Skin-Fortifying Hand Creme. Eucerin Daily Skin Balance Skin-Fortifying Hand Creme promises to soften hands and cuticles, strengthen skin’s protective barrier, and overall boost skin health without strong fragrances or grease residue. I have to admit, Eucerin has the “look” of a product for older women (no offense, older readers), so I wasn’t too into it at first. But you know what? Screw the packaging. The stuff really works. I’ve taken to applying it a few times each day, particularly after showering, bathing my kids or washing dishes, and I have definitely noticed a significant difference with the quality of my skin. My hands feel softer and smoother, and the feeling doesn’t quickly go away like it tends to do with other brands of lotions.
