Hard Candy is a glittery, bold line of cosmetics that I remember way back when from the mid 1990s. Then they up and disappeared, never to be heard from again until I suddenly spotted them at Walmart several months ago. Hard Candy graciously offered me the opportunity to try out a few of their products, and if you know me and my generous makeup collection, then you’ll know I quickly acquiesced.
I received a bottle of Just Nails nail polish in Mr. Wrong; a Meteor Eyes eyeshadow in Super Nova; and a Plexi Gloss lipgloss in Arm Candy.
I’ve only tried the lipgloss so far, but believe me, I’ll be dolling myself up this coming week and reporting back with photos and a review!

I use Hard Candy eyeshadow, eyeliner and lip gloss pretty regularly. I like the fact that they have decent products at a good price (I also love the names for their products such as the Geisha eyeliner that I am wearing right now). I would prefer to use urban decay makeup regularly but their products cost too much.
I hear you on the prices. I have a few of Urban Decay’s shadows, but just a few — at $18 or more each, there’s no way I can stock up on as many as I’d like to. So I supplement with cheaper stuff haha.
I bought 2 of their blushes and regret the money I lost on them. I was seriously disappointed in the pigmentation and how hard they were.
I recommend Urban Decay as well. I have learned that the best way to buy their eyeshadows is by buying the palettes. I have their book of shadows 2 and I use it almost every day. They came out with a really nice neutral palette recently. I just wish they didn’t have so many shimmery and glittery colors. I wrote their company and requested that they bring out a palette of just their matte colors — which I also agree are way too expensive at almost $20 a pop!
