Let it be said that every woman has some type of unwanted facial hair, and if she says she doesn’t, she’s lying. Obviously the severity and frequency and location of facial hair differs from woman to woman, but trust me, it’s there. In my case, the issue is with the occasional peachy fuzzy little hairs (blonde) that sometimes make an unwanted appearance on either side of my upper lip. I also have that real fine downy blonde fuzz along my jawline, and while it’s common with every woman, I hate how mine shows up in photos and even in the sunlight (at certain angles), so I get rid of it. Just how do I get rid of it? Well, until recently I used tweezers. I’ve found tweezers to be effective in the precise removal of hair. The downside is that you can only do one or two hairs at a time, so if there’s a lot to do, you’re going to be there for a while. And if the hairs are really fine and hard to grasp with even the finest pointed tweezers, you’re going to be there for longer still.
Enter Lindo Twist-n-Roll Tweezers. When I found out that samples of these were available for review, I knew I had to have one. The Twist-n-Roll is basically a long, tight metal coil, with smooth plastic caps (for grasping) on either end. The advantage of using the Lindo Twist-n-Roll Tweezers was apparent the very first time I used them: rather than grasping just one hair at a time, the Twist-n-Roll Tweezers grasp several hairs, and the twist-and-pull action you do with your hands allows the tweezers to pull all of those hairs out at once. Yes, it can be a little wince-worthy, depending on where you’re using the tweezers and how many hairs it catches, but the obvious advantage is precise tweezing that is done faster.
To use Lindo Twist-n-Roll Tweezers, you’re supposed to place the tweezers in an upside-down U shape against your skin, then twist the handles outward by rolling your thumbs in, and pulling the tweezers away from your skin. I’ve found the Twist-n-Roll tweezers to be easier to manipulate and more effective by doing the U shape after they’re against my skin, but to each their own. Here’s a demo video I made that shows you exactly how to use the tweezers:
I am definitely recommending Lindo Twist-n-Roll Tweezers in place of standard tweezers, at least for all non-eyebrow hair removal. For eyebrow thinning and shaping I will continue to use a traditional pair of tweezers, simply because I don’t trust myself to not screw up and grab too much hair!
