Over the weekend I alternately lamented over the difficulty in finding a decent fitting swimsuit (besides the plain black one piece I picked up this past spring; it works out well enough, but it’s plain, it’s boring, and it’s a skirted suit, so I look like a granny who’s trying to hide the fact that she needs stomach weight loss, sort of) and complimented on the swimsuits and separates other ladies have managed to find. Ashley mentioned picking up her suit at JC Penney, and recommended that I check them out, as they have a great junior’s plus collection.
So guess where I went today? Yup, to JC Penney. I was on the hunt for a simple black tankini / top piece, but damn if it wasn’t nearly impossible to find. All of the other places had the wrong color, the wrong size, or nothing at all. But JC Penney? Their swimsuit collection was exploding, and I found a perfect fitting (size XL!!!) black top piece, and a cute pair of black and white plaid swim shorts (also a size XL!!!). Yay! Better still, both were marked down, so I paid just $12.99 for the bottoms and $19.99 for the top — the original prices were $19.99 for the bottoms and $34.99 for the top. I also found an adorable Hello Kitty purse marked down to $5 — that’s going to be put away until Alyssa’s birthday. Or maybe Christmas. Have I mentioned that I have been stockpiling birthday/Christmas gifts for the kids, and for my brothers? Target routinely marks down all sorts of stuff, so I’ve been managing to find some great deals!
Anyway, I’m a very happy girl. I can’t wait to wear this stylish swimsuit!!!
