Cuisinart Automatic Frozen Ice Cream and Sorbet Maker

1

DSC_8926 I’ve had the Cuisinart Automatic Frozen Ice Cream and Sorbet Maker for several weeks now, but due to being busy, and then forgetting about it, and then not having the right ingredients, and then being busy again, I didn’t really get the chance to try it out until recently. I’ve always wanted an ice cream maker, though it was one of those things I didn’t give much thought to. Then CSN Stores contacted me to see if I would be interested in reviewing any of their products, so I jumped at the chance to add yet another appliance to my straining kitchen cabinets.

The Cuisinart Automatic Frozen Ice Cream and Sorbet Maker makes up to one and a half quarts worth of sorbets, frozen yogurts and ice creams conveniently and easily. Simply leave the double-insulated freezer bowl in your freezer so that it’s ready to go at all times, then stick it in the base of the appliance, add in the necessary ingredients, drop in the automatic mixing arm, slide the easy-lock transparent lid on everything, hit the On/Off switch, and you’re good to go!

In case you can’t tell, I decided to make cake batter ice cream, following this recipe (not shown: extra ingredient: sprinkles!). As I already outlined, using the Cuisinart Automatic Frozen Ice Cream and Sorbet Maker was incredibly easy. I combined all of the ingredients in a regular mixer, then pulled out and assembled the ice cream maker, poured in the ingredients, and let it churn away for about forty-five minutes. At that point it was too thick to be labeled a milkshake, but not thick enough to be called ice cream, so I covered the bowl with saran wrap and stuck it in the freezer for another hour. At that point it was ready to be devoured!

It was easy to pick out this particular ice cream maker from CSN Stores. Their 200+ sub-stores, amazingly organized selection of products via categories and further filtering/sorting options on category pages made narrowing down thousands of items to just a few hundred, then a few dozen, and then just a handful, until I found exactly what I was looking for. CSN Stores was quick to ship, and they kept me updated on my order progress every step of the way. I’d highly recommend them — and this ice cream maker — to anyone!
