Did you know that sitting on the toilet for an extended period of time isn’t good for you? The pressure and position can lead to an increased risk of hemorrhoids. Also, the pins and needles that kick in can be a real pain (no pun intended). For children, particularly young ones whose legs aren’t long enough to reach the floor, sitting on the toilet can be uncomfortable, which in turn can lead to discouraging them from using the toilet. Successful potty training begins with a child being ready, but making sure that child is comfortable is just as important!
With all that said, I am really excited to be reviewing the Little Looster. It is essentially a ’round the potty booster seat that is formed into a semi-circle; its design allows it to sit flush around the front and sides of the toilet, which provides a sturdy and perfectly-raised foundation for young children to use as an aid to getting onto and off the toilet, as well as a raised platform upon which they can place their feet while going to the bathroom. It’s perfect shape and flush fit against the toilet also means not having to move it out of the way when an adult needs to use the toilet!
My husband and I have been repainting the kids’ bathroom, so they haven’t had the chance to really use it yet, but it’s going into place tomorrow morning. I’ll let you know what we all think of it in a few days!
