Dove Damage Therapy Intensive Repair Daily Treatment is a potent conditioner that any woman with significant hair damage should definitely consider adding to her daily shower routine. What I like about this stuff is that it contains the same patented serum and fiber actives that Dove Damage Therapy Daily Moisture Daily Treatment (read my review) has. This means that it doesn’t just “coat” hair like other products do; the combination of serum and fiber actives along with other ingredients in the conditioner work to penetrate individual hair and help proteins re-bind, which results in healthier hair and less breakage and split ends.
However, I must tell you that I would not recommend Dove Damage Therapy Intensive Repair Daily Treatment for normal hair. Simply put: it’s too strong! It totally over-moisturized my hair, which is not damaged other than being more brittle and coarser since I had gastric bypass six months ago (it caused protein deficiencies that have definitely affected the quality of my hair). But if you routinely color your hair, or use harsh products on it, you’ll definitely want this bad boy in your shower. As for me, I plan on using it during the summer, when I’ll be treating my hair to a noxious combination of high temperatures, high humidity, sun, and heavily chlorinated water on a nearly daily basis!
