I have been wanting a handheld, cordless vacuum cleaner for a while now. Why? It’s simple math: spending $1.50 per two minute vacuuming spree per vehicle 6-8 times per year quickly adds up. Plus there’s the inconvenience of having to have quarters on hand and drive to a car wash that has a vacuum. And the hassle of having to rush to get as much crap sucked out of the car in the two or so minute span of time $1.50 in quarters provides you. With that kind of stressing and rushing, it’s no wonder term life insurance can be so expensive. All that stress isn’t good for the heart!
So I squealed in delight when I saw that Target had the Dirt Devil Scorpion Cordless Hand Vac for just $15.99! I kind of wanted a Dirt Devil because I “know” them via my mom, who had a few varieties of them when I was a child. I had no idea they were so cheap, so finding a Dirt Devil for just $15.99 and not the $30+ I expected it to be priced at seriously made my day.
Anyway, I haven’t had the opportunity to use it yet, as the user manual recommends charging it for a full 24 hours before use (and then charging monthly or as often as needed after that), but I promise I’ll be sucking crap out of my car tomorrow! I’ll let you know how it goes. Assuming it works well, I may even keep it in mind for future baby showers, as it would make a great, affordable prize for baby shower games. Babies and toddlers are notorious for leaving crumb trails wherever they go, are they not?
