I’m a big fan of cleaning & disinfecting wipes and sprays. I use the wipes in my bathrooms and on our computer desks, keyboards, telephones, light switches, and door knobs. I use cleaning & disinfecting sprays on my kitchen table and kitchen counters. I routinely wipe down both with a damp paper towel or a washcloth, but I like using a disinfectant to kill bacteria, especially since I have small kids and several cats (who get up on the counters and table when I’m not looking, grrr).
I usually use Clorox Anywhere for a quick clean and disinfect, but I recently decided to give Seventh Generation Disinfecting Multi-Surface Cleaner a whirl. My initial impression is that the scent — “Lemongrass & Thyme” — was rather chemically smelling for a product that is supposed to smell more natural (psst, if you like Seventh Generation’s mission, then you’ll probably love the idea of Shingle Recycling Companies!). But it sprays out in a thin, fine mist, doesn’t leave any kind of leftover residue or coating, and as far as I know it’s doing a satisfactory job at killing off bacteria, so I can overlook the scent.
I’ll probably stick with Seventh Generation Disinfecting Multi-Surface Cleaner, unless I find something that is more appealing to my sense of smell, heh.
Psst… Seventh Generation coupons!
