Upcoming review: T-Mobile myTouch 3G

On Sunday I treated myself to the T-Mobile myTouch 3G. I was eligible for an upgrade at a significant discount, and since I sold my T-Mobile G1 (read review) on eBay Saturday night, I only had to make up the difference caused by the upgrade fee (which I was not aware of until this morning, grr!), taxes, and phone cover.

My initial thoughts: I love it, of course. The myTouch 3G is a lot like my G1, and of course it uses the same Android operating system. But it’s faster, the phone itself is slimmer, and there’s no external keyboard. Thankfully, Google seems to have greatly improved upon the touch keyboard with this phone, so adjusting to typing texts, usernames, email addresses, passwords, etc., have been no great shakes with this phone.

I’ve only had the time to play around with it so far, so I’ll leave this review as an upcoming week. I’ll get back to you in a week or two with my thoughts on the phone. :)
