If there’s one thing I hate, it’s being misled. I especially hate it with cosmetics, since I obviously can’t inspect the contents of them, and instead have to rely on what my eyes tell me. And when my eyes tell me that I’m purchasing amazingly glimmery shades of purple, that’s what I expect to get. What I don’t expect, and most definitely don’t like, is when that pretty glimmery shade is just a top coat, which when wiped away with a brush reveals rather dull, matte color beneath. Rimmel pulled a similar stunt last year that I wasn’t happy about, and I am definitely not happy about this. If I could, I would return this shadow palette directly to the store I purchased it from (Target), because it’s clearly misleading. But instead, I’m stuck with the proof of a wasted $8.99. It looks like I’m doing the right thing by purchasing Sephora and Urban Decay. Their single shadows may be $15 or more apiece, but at least the shimmery and glittery goodness that draws me in is consistent throughout the product!
