ChopSaver ChopSaver is a specialty lip balm that was originally developed by a musician, for himself and other musicians that play instruments that can cause dry lips. But ChopSaver can be used by anyone. It’s available over-the-counter, though many physician’s offices are carrying the product and recommending it to patients who take Accutane and other mouth-drying products.

ChopSaver is comprised of many natural ingredients, including shea and mango butters, aloe and avocado. Unlike many other lip balms, ChopSaver has absolutely no petroleum jelly in it!

I received two tubes of ChopSaver — the standard version, and ChopSaver Gold. The Gold version offers built-in sunscreen, so I gave it to my fourteen year old brother, who suffers from dry mouth and dry lips, and is also outdoors a lot. I kept the standard version for myself, and threw it in my purse so I could use it daily.

My brother and I have now been using ChopSaver for almost two months, and we love them! The balm glides on smoothly, and isn’t waxy or chunky or drying, like standard balms can often be. It’s also long-lasting, and seems to be great at relieving lip dryness. Overall, I’m a fan of ChopSaver, and I definitely plan on buying more!
