A few weeks ago Complete Health LLC contacted me and asked if I would be interested in reviewing Respiratory Guard. Now, I’m usually very cautious with the types of medicines I use, whether they be synthetic, prescription or derived from natural ingredients. But after looking over the ingredients in Respiratory Guard and researching elderberry (the key ingredient in Respiratory Guard), I agreed. About a week ago a box of Respiratory Guard arrived, and the timing couldn’t have been better, since I was on my way to getting sick with a mild strain of the swine flu.
Respiratory Guard is supposed to help prevent and fight off flu symptoms and promote respiratory health. I’m all for a flu cure when I’m miserable with a fever and a persistent, non-productive cough and sore throat (from the persistent coughing), so I happily gave it a try. My initial thought — which I voiced on Twitter, is that it tasted like berry-flavored ass. Not that I know what ass tastes like, but if I had to guess, Respiratory Guard is the berry-flavored version of it.
I honestly don’t know if Respiratory Guard has done anything for me, despite taking two lozenges a day. I had a fever that ranged from 99.1 to 101.8 throughout Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and a horrible cough that was brutal to my diaphragm and abdominal muscles. But I didn’t have any major throat or nasal congestion, and despite the horrible cough (that is still lingering), I’m breathing just fine. I’ll continue to take Respiratory Guard until I shake this thing. I do plan on keeping a few lozenges for any future colds, so I can see how it works with a cold as opposed to the actual flu.
Bottom line? I’m honestly not sure what I think of the product. I think it helped with keeping my nasal passages clear and breathing difficulties minimized, but at the same time I had hoped it would help with the chest congestion that I went out last night and purchased Mucinex for.
Please note that this review is a result of a feedback campaign by Respiratory Guard. The recipients were asked to give their honest opinion about the product they received. Good reviews were not incentivized and poor reviews will not be censored for their opinion of the product.

I also have to do this review. I couldn’t help but laugh when I saw you write that on Twitter.
