If you have ever downloaded more than a dozen or so fonts, wallpapers, WordPress themes or plugins that were in .zip format, you have no doubt wished for a way to decompress them all at once. Well, there is such a program (freeware!) that does that — ExtractNow. I found ExtractNow after spending close to a half an hour trying to track down a working download link for Unziplify (that program and its creators seem to have vanished off of the face of the internet). I’m happy to say that it is free, comes without any type of bloatware or unnecessary settings, and it works perfectly.
To use ExtractNow, simply install it, launch it, and then drag the files you wish to decompress to its main dialog box. Click the Extract button and you’re good to go.
Tip: open up settings and select “Extract into current directory” to save yourself the hassle of navigating through multiple folders for the decompressed files!
