My gorgeous HP dv7t (the one I just reviewed) and my husband’s HP G70t just received a nice memory update. Both notebooks went from 3GB of memory to 4GB! I swear I’m already seeing a nice increase in performance, especially since I’m using the oh-so-lovely Windows 7 (have I mentioned that I converted my mother to Windows 7? Tee hee!).
Tip: when shopping for memory, shop around and do some price comparisons! You would be amazed at the differences in prices from one online merchant to another! I spent $48 for two 2GB sticks; the same two sticks of memory were priced at $55 at another online store (with the same shipping price). Yay for lower prices!
(This tip can obviously be applied to anything, from auto insurance quote to the cost of a Persian cat, to the cost of a new computer or even a vehicle. The discrepancy between prices depending on where you shop is just incredible!)
