I know I just went on vacation (my husband and I took our children to Ocean City, Maryland for a four day weekend at the end of June), but I could certainly use another! My mom is yapping about vacations, too. Specifically, she talks about doing a weekend or even a week in Rehoboth Beach, DE, or a cruise. Now I have never been on a cruise, but from the commercials and websites I have seen they look absolutely gorgeous, and my mom gets excited and animated when she talks about the cruise she went on before I was born.
If I were to get the opportunity to take a cruise, I don’t think I would be that picky about where I went. Whether I had my pick of Caribbean cruises or a cruise just along the coast of the eastern side of the U.S., I’d be quite happy to just get away for a few weeks. Or even a week. But hey, the more, the better. My ideal Caribbean cruise vacation would have to be at least a week in duration. I’d want my own room, access to the internet, and there had better be a pool on the ship somewhere. Delicious food, some mixed drinks at night, and setting up my tripod to take some gorgeous photos of the ocean and horizon is all it would take to complete my perfect cruise getaway!
Of course, docking somewhere and getting the opportunity to enjoy a nice, warm beach and cool, crisp ocean waves to frolic in would just be the icing on the cake! ♥
I’m telling you, if I ever get the 1) money and 2) opportunity, I would so go away on a cruise! I’d pick one of those ships that has a pool and water slides and an outdoor theater, and just go crazy soaking up the enjoyment and relaxation for a week or so.
