I always love trying new shampoos and conditioners, especially those duos that smell good and don’t leave my hair an oily mess. With my hair, which is pretty thick and rather coarse, there’s a fine line between needing enough moisture to keep it in brushable condition, and too much moisture, which results in greasy hair within 24 hours of washing. This is even more the case since I quit coloring my hair almost three years ago.
I’m a fan of shampoo and conditioner duos, because I need the shampoo to cleanse and clarify my hair, and the conditioner to put moisture and softness into it. I’m also a sucker for tropical scents and coconut (weird: I like the smell of coconut, but not the taste of it), so I snapped up the Organix Nourishing Coconut Milk Collection as soon as I saw it at Target. As an added bonus, the shampoo and conditioner had rebate coupons attached to them, so the products were essentially free (however, I am still waiting for my rebate checks).
Bottom line? I love the shampoo and conditioner. It only takes a small amount to really lather up my hair, and the scent is noticeable without being overpowering — plus it lasts all day! And, my hair doesn’t grease up like an oil slick, even 24 hours after being washed.
