My hair is very thick, somewhat coarse, and also very straight. The only type of wave I can achieve is if I tuck my hair behind my ears while wet, or if I twist it up into a clip and leave it there to dry. Otherwise, there’s no such thing as curls or waves. Occasionally I have allowed a stylist to use a perm and various types of sprays to throw in a few loose curls and waves, and for the most part the look has stayed, through by the end of the day the spiraled curls will have worked themselves loose into flowing waves. Luckily, I like the waves. Unfortunately for me, while I do own a curling iron, I am a complete spazz with it.
So, when I was in Target the other night, I decided to see what kind of hot sticks they had. Back in the fall of 2007 I tried out a set of Conair Hot Sticks, but the sticks themselves were too small, so my hair had more of a frizzy, kinked look to it, while I want something softer, looser and wavier.

I’m determined to replicate the same look, but rather than spazz with the curling iron, I’m pulling out the big guns. I’m referring to the Remington T-Studio Heated Clip Setters. They look incredibly easy to use, and big enough to accomplish the look I’m after. And for $34, they better work.
Wish me luck!
