Last night I caved and purchased a Pedi Paws. Both my brother-in-law and mother have been yapping about it, and since I do have a dog whose nails are definitely thicker and harder to trim than the nails of my cats (I have three cats), this might be worthwhile.
The product seems straightforward enough. I didn’t use it on my dog last night, but I did let her check it out, and I turned it on and laid it on the floor for her to explore. One thing I’m wondering about is the sound the Pedi Paws makes when it’s on. Not only does it vibrate, but it gives off a very subtle kind of whine… it doesn’t bug me, but it might bother a dog’s ears, since their hearing is more sensitive than ours.
Thoughts? Have any of you used Pedi Paws?
I know a lot of people who bought it and thier dogs hated it. Had it been around when my dog was alive i know for sure she would have hated it. not only the sound but the feeling. I would instead just sit there and clip and file her nails by hand, she could stand that more.
I actually bought this to use on my dog thinking it would be way easier than trimming her nails with the “normal trimmers”, but I haven’t been successful with it yet. My dog hates having her nails trimmed, period…no matter what type of trimmer.
I guess it’ll take her awhile to get use to it, but yes the sound is sometimes annoying.

I haven’t used it but have been considering getting one. Clipping nails makes me really nervous and this sounds like it would be a good option.
I haven’t tried them personally but I do know 90% of the ones we sell at my work get returned. Not even exaggerating. We have even chosen to place them all in the backroom so customers have to ASK for them and we give them the honest truth about them not working.

The hubby has been bugging me to get this for our dog but I just have a feeling it’ll be a waste of my money. Let us know how it goes!
