(Dear Always: Ever since I first heard about Always Infinity, I have been hearing Buzz Lightyear’s “To infinity, and beyond!” in my head EVERY SINGLE DAY)
Most of the time I don’t do pads. But the first day of my period is usually wicked painful, and the thought of putting anything near, let alone IN, my girly parts, is enough to have me weeping and cringing in a corner somewhere. So I do keep pads around, to get through the excruciating first day or so. Usually I buy some form of Always with wings and be done with it. But pads do sprout leaks, they shift and they bunch, so I was interested in the newest pad product on the market, Always Infinity.
Always Infinity claims to be different than other pads. Supposedly the absorbency is better, the special mesh top layer will trap moisture and wick it away instantly, and the super-adhesive wings will actually stay put. A special top sheet makes the pad very comfortable to wear, and supposedly the whole thing won’t shift and bunch like other pads (including other Always pads!) so often do.
By the way, I’m one day one of my period. I bought a box of Always Infinity last week, and I’m using one of the pads today. I must agree that the top sheet, whatever it’s made of, really IS comfortable. It’s soft, almost fleece-like to the touch. It doesn’t feel hard, scratchy and uncomfortable like other pads do.
I’ll post a more in-depth review of the Always Infinity line of pads later this week, once I’ve had a good chance to experience them.
Psst… right now you can get a free sample of Always Infinity to try out! Just check out the main website right here, and fill out the form.

Always is my favorite brand of pads to use. I’ve never had problems with them bunching though. Then again, I don’t use them as often anymore as I used to (thanks to that stupid pcos).
I have used Always pads and pantyliners since I was a teenager. I usually use the Always clean superlong combo, and LOVE it. I saw the commercial for Infinity and thought it would provide extra protection for overnight. So i purchased the large box of overnights at Ws for 8.99 (much more than I would normally be willing to pay). This is the worst product I think the company has ever made. I love the feel of it, and the shape of the pad (with the extra width in back, and the wings). I thought it was supposed to be extra absorbent. My flow practically sits on top….and there is no side or back or front edge protection AT ALL! I am very disappointed in this product. I have tried even using it for a couple hours during the lightest days-and must say a panty liner offers better protection. What a mess.
my mom bought these for herself, I don’t think she liked them very much though because the next day I saw her with a bag regular pads in her hands. I have an irregular period so I use a pad for at least 2 days before my expected date just to make sure. I used the always infinity and I don’t think I’ll use them all the time. there’s no odor control AT ALL, it was utterly atrocious for me to use because I was stuck in a lecture class fearing someone would smell. It doesn’t bunch, it’s true but the odor thing ruined it for me.
I’m back to using the overnight extra heavy (I think these are Always’ best product). the 15 inches is something to get around but there are no leaks at all, odor control, and you don’t have to worry about how you’re sitting or anything.
Product sucks. front is too narrow. wings don’t do what they should. terrible leaking. a man must have made these and not tested them on any women. obviously this product was not tested. I think they just wanted to know how people would respond to ads. other pads are much better. almost any other pad is better than this.
My stepmom bought me these pads and they do hold in the blood very well. But they flake apart. Its so weird and leaves a gross part. When i say they flake apart.. Its like wet toilet paper. I think you know what i mean
I’ve been using pads ever since I first got my period and these pads are the best I’ve used so far. They are super absorbent (you only see a bit of blood on the top layer but when you look at the back, you can see that the blood actually spreads out cuz they absorb super fast). They feel really soft and comfy.
Personally, I don’t like the Always Infinity. I have moderate to heavy periods, and these didn’t offer me any protection in the front or back…but it did save the center of my panties right where the pad went. I did enjoy how thin and light they were, but all it took was a cough, and I leaked – not the best scenario for when you’re in the middle of class. Personally, I love the Always Maxi Overnight’s, which are 15 inches long, and protect me front and back…they may be thick, but I’d rather be protected, than uncomfortable not knowing whether I would “spring” a leak. Again, this is just my opinion. Everyone has different needs.
Always Infinity is the worst pad I have ever tried. I ordered a free sample because it claimed to be extra absorbent and not shift and bunch. I opened the package and I must say, the top looked like a cheese grater, which is quite disturbing. The wings do not hold and actually got stuck to my hair down there and it hurt like hell getting it off. It bunched quite badly and did not hold anything. I leaked all over my underwear.
I agree with Nicole! I wish a WOMAN would make a pad where the frikin wings stay in place, it doesn’t bunch and create a nasty lump in your pants and actually make it so it doesn’t leak through on your panties!
I was extremely disappointed with this product. It leaks terribly. The wings do not work, and all absorption flows to backward even when lying on your side, which creates accidents. I tried this product twice, with the same result. I would not recommend to anyone at this time.
I tried these pads. They are not good at all. I have a heavy flow so i prefer to use always overnight. I will stick with these for now.
I completely agree. Based on the hype, I purchased the overpriced product; but, if it worked, then it was worth it. This pad leaks, flakes and for some bizarre reason, it seems thiner in terms of the coverage. Perhaps it has thinner wings and front/ back coverage. I’m back to the Always Overnights for max. protection.
Im not quite sure why so many people had such bad expeirences. I have been using Infinity since the have come on the market, I love them and there is no switching back for me. They are actually worth the 9 bucks. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. I haven’t leaked at all. I dont have to keep running to the bathroom because of fear of overflow. Im sold!
sorry but i disagree with all of you, i have a heavy flow so wen i first opened the package i was a bit hesitant to use it bc it was SO thin & i didnt think it would hold my flow but i tried it anyways. its so soft and comfortable, and you dont even feel like your wearing a pad, i forgot i even had my period. alot of people think it just sits on the top layer but if you look at the bottom, it actually spreads out. some of you are complaining about the wings, (i had no problem with them) maybe it has to do with your panty material. overall, i loved itt, i didnt leak, it didnt scrunch, it was super softt and comfy
from 1 to 10 i give it a 12!
I got a free sample of these when I purchased my regular overnights. I have generally always used pads as other products for some reason tend to give me horrendous cramps. I have always had a problem with bunching and leaks. These were the first pads I didn’t have that problem with. The wings though didn’t really stay where they should and the worst part was the smell. It wasn’t me I was smelling either unless I sorta smell like burning tires or diesel fuel or something. They only smell like this though once they start absorbing anything. Good in some ways but I wont use them again as long as they smell like that when I use them.
I’ve been using this for 3 months. I have not had problems with leaks and it works as describes – I really like the wicking feature. But I have had the problem some people mentioned with the flaking. That was easily solved – I just changed my pad more often. But another problem is that to me, the pad smells like rubber and I don’t like it. I’m sure it’s a petroleum byproduct because it traps heat like rubber and doesn’t allow my skin to breath (others might not notice this but I have very sensitive skin.) So I don’t know – the pros equal the cons right now and I’m not sure if I will go back to Ultra Thins with wings. We’ll see.
For those of you that say the front is too thin – you are probably wearing it backwards! The wider part goes in front. Read the instructions.
I also tried this product – infinity-overnight. initially when i saw it i was wondering how come so thin and can hold so much liquid. but i decided to wear it on my heavy flow days.and the dots which actually are see through did a fantastic job.it just pulls liquid through. the top layer is just lovely. even i agree, that the underneath of the pad actually held a lot of liquid making the top layer ‘clean’… i loved this product.
i’m using always infinity right now! it’s great! I’m at the heavy part of my period where i usually have to change pads every 45 minutes but I’ve had this one on for like, four hours! it’s amazing!
maybe it has a sham wow inside.
I first tried this product when it was a free sample in an Always package. I didn’t realize at first that it was different than what I usually have. But I quickly realized that it was like I didn’t even have my period. Usually I double up: using both a tampon & a pad, because I feel nervous about using just tampons, because of leaking, and I hate using just pads, because it’s so nasty when they get full… THEN I just feel plain dirty. But this was different. I used ONLY the pad & it absorbed EVERYTHING- I didn’t even feel wet!
Great product. I will never go back!
These are possibly the worst pads ever. The “leak protection” is practically non-existent – it always leaves a mess in my underwear. In fact I just finished washing a pair and I was so angry, I had to leave a review. Oh and the wings don’t work either. The pads by themselves are bad, but the fact that they cost so much and don’t give you anything in return makes them horrible. Were these even tested? Always regular maxis work much better. I think I’ll stick with those.
BEST PAD EVER. I have had TERRIBLE problems with heavy flow, that I actually just went on the Mirena IUD to control it and start limiting it. These pads have changed my life. I leaked once on a train and I was mortified–I can’t even imagine this happening with this product. I don’t know what probelms other people are facing when using this, but the pads are super absorbant. I wouldn’t want them any longer or bigger, especially because I just don’t need it. I still wouldn’t go too long without changing it, because come on, just because it can hold 10x as much doesn’t mean you should purposely plan on walking around with that much stuff sloshing around down there. Don’t be silly with them, be happy that they’re comfy, catch a lot, and in the off chance you’re away from a restroom or can’t leave a class or a meeting, you’ll have the certainty that these babies will not leak. Other than that, I change mine every 1.5-2 hours or so (better than every 45 minutes thats for sure), and I know my body and shape pretty well and I know where best to position the pad so that leaks don’t happen front or back. If you know how you sit, sleep, if you have a funny walk or something, and its worrisome, situate the pad to fit you. But really its amazing. I reccommend this to every female I know.
Found my perfect combo:
Always Overnight Ultra Thin With Flexi-Wings and Playtex Sport Tampons
I think I’m done with experimenting…
I just bought these yesterday… I love Always products anyway because they suit me best… but by far the best pads that Always has to offer
Can’t make up my mind about this product. I’ve never really had a heavy flow…in fact I could usually go almost 6 hours without changing my pad when I used Always ultra thin. But while using the Always Infinity, I have to change it a lot more often because of leaking out the back, and if I reposition further back then it leaks out the front…I do think they are great for light days, but if you cough or laugh, then you’re in for a surprise! And I would definitely not sleep in them!
BEST PAD IN THE WHOLE WORLD.
They make me so happy! Which is saying a lot since I’m on my period. Everytime I change them I just get excited at how comfortable and absorbent they are. I’m very sorry other people are having problems with them because they are my favorite feminine product to use in the world. Maybe it just depends on your body type or pantie material or something? I don’t know, but I recommend these pads to EVERYONE!
LOVE THEM!
I have been a devoted Always user for over 20 years. These are the worst pads I’ve ever used. I haven’t experienced the flaking because I’ve had to change them so often to prevent leaking. As others have said, one cough and you’re done for! With Always Ultra-Thins, I never EVER ruined a pair of panties. In one day I bled through two pairs of pants due to coughing. To address another person, the instructions on my pads indicate that the narrow end goes to the front of your underwear. Regardless, it doesn’t matter which way they face – I’ve ended up with a leaks front and back and side to side.
I love love love the infinitys!!! So super soft, stays in place, and most of all..it feels like I dont have one on at all!!
I love these pads. My answer to some of the negative reviews is this:
flaking- only if you wear it too long. The pad holds a lot more and wicks it away, so the pad doesn’t look full. When you take it off, turn it over to see how much is actually in it. Make sure you are changing the pad as often as you usually would.
smell- unless you buy scented, odor control isn’t usually a benefit of pads.
wings- never had a problem. They are super sticky and have never come off.
Length- good, but for overnight I wear a second pad behind it. I’ve always had to do this with any pad brand or style.
width- definitely thinner in the front, but there is good wicking, I’ve never had a problem.
I really think most of the problems with this pad is that people are not changing it enough. It really does look “clean” for longer, because of how it wicks it all away.
