Dez told me that she has recently become a ChaCha Guide, and that it’s a way of using spare time to earn some money. Basically, as a guide you answer questions that people send it to the ChaCha website. Or something like that. I applied, and received a confirmation email a few days ago, but now that I’m reading on techcrunch.com and a few other sites about current guides having issues with getting paid, I’m not so sure. Maybe I would be better off looking into futures trading?

I felt kinda bad for posting that on Lavish but I don’t want a bunch of Lavishers to end up getting ripped off after putting in a bunch of hours.

I’m a guide and I have no problem getting paid. Actually, working for ChaCha is great. I sign on anytime and get paid enough to cover my gas and some of my books. You should try it out before you believe those less-than-credible forums.

Anna: don’t feel bad. It’s good to share unbiased information and info from both sides of the deal.
Erica: thank you for your input.

So far so good for me. I received payment early this morning into my bank account. We’ll see what next month brings. I’ve read the info about it and how guides are not getting paid, which is why I decided to try it out and see for myself. I’ll let you know if I have any issues getting paid next month or in the future if you’d like.
