I'm kind of paranoid about that kind of thing, especially when I see shopping carts full of perishable items that are left to sit in the "reshop" area for hours on end. When I buy perishable items, I always grab from the near top/back/bottom -- whichever place is most inconvenient for others, lol. I really don’t know for sure.
