The right memory card or compact flash can mean the difference between instant response time with your camera, and… well, not so instant response. I know from personal experience that an average or subpar quality memory card will cause delays when processing and saving images. The result is the perfect shot being there and gone while your camera is still working on saving the previous shot.

Personally, I highly recommend SanDisk memory cards, particularly their SDHC cards. Before purchasing one make sure your camera can handle that SD format. :)
