On June 23rd, 2008, my husband and I purchased four pairs of Circo beach shoes from Target. Two were for our daughter and son, and the other two were for ourselves. We were very careful in choosing appropriately sized shoes, and having our children wear them in the shoe aisle so that we could make sure they fit well.
The next day, our daughter and son had been wearing the shoes for about a half an hour along the beach, when our daughter came over and complained about her feet hurting. We took her shoes off, and she had the beginning of blisters on both of her feet. We then took the beach shoes off of our son, and he too had blisters forming in the same area on both of his feet.
I’ll let photos tell the rest of the story:
Needless to say, the day after we came back from our vacation, I took all four pairs of beach shoes back to Target, along with photos of the damage done.
We have been going through large adhesive bandages, paper tape and Neosporin multiple times each day! At this point I have probably spent close to $30 on medical supplies.
Oh, and worse yet: my husband’s feet had the beginnings of these blisters as well!
As soon as I get a free moment, I’m going to write to Circo. Or perhaps I should just forward this post to them instead?
