My favorite indoor lighting is GE’s soft light bulbs. They cast natural, soft light indoors, rather than icky fluorescent lighting.

For photos, I always use my external flash to assist with lighting. I set it to bounce off the ceiling, with a compensation of +1 (night) or -1 (day). The results are very, very natural. The only downside is things are sometimes a bit washed out, so I wind up having to up the color and contrast in Adobe Photoshop. Oh well. It’s easier to adjust color intensity than it is to lighten up a photo and adjust the warm and cool tones!
