My birthday is coming up in two weeks, and my mom and husband are both asking me what I’d like. I rattled off the electronic items I want: smaller external flash for my digital camera, laptop hard drive, 8GB memory card, stereo with audio input jack for my car. But all of these items are around $100 a pop, so I don’t realistically expect my mom, husband, friends and brother-in-laws to be able to get everything on the list. One or two things? Maybe. Everything? Probably not.
So I’m shopping around for ideas. I’m a girl, so of course I like jewelry. I’m checking out Jewels of Denial, and I’m finding several ideas already. Since I was fourteen, I have had my heart set on having a pretty charm bracelet to wear. Thus far, I have been unsuccessful in acquiring one. Either I forget to look for one, or I find one that is too expensive, or one that doesn’t fit, or one that I just don’t like. But I do like this silver heart tag bracelet:

The website has a wishlist feature, so I think I might add a few items, and then email the link to my husband and mother.
I’m also going to sign up for their newsletter, since doing so gives me a 20% off coupon. W00t! Hopefully I’ll have a nice new charm bracelet for my birthday! ![]()
