When I was a kid, whenever I lost a tooth, my mother instructed me to put it under my pillow, where at some point during my sleep, the Tooth Fairy would come and take it, and leave in its wake a quarter. I’m sure that a lot of you remember this tradition as well! Obviously, this is a tradition that my husband and I plan on carrying out with our daughter and our son, but we never gave much thought to doing it any other way than the way we know from what our parents did with us.

Until now. A few days ago Gift Define sent me one of their adorable products, Flossie the Tooth Fairy. Flossie is a hand designed and hand sewn felt doll, complete with hair, a star barrette that also holds a looped piece of twine with which to hang her from a picture hook or the corner of a mirror, a pretty fairy dress, and a pouch. Flossie’s purse is the perfect size for a child’s tooth, and also the perfect size for a quarter, or other small trinket.

In addition to receiving Flossie herself, Gifts Define also sends along a one-of-a-kind lost tooth certificate for Mom and/or Dad to fill out. The certificate records what tooth was lost and on what date, and is definitely a keepsake.

Flossie also comes in a variety of styles, including black and brown hair, and a pink, green, blue or purple dress, with coordinating purse, . She ships in a soft, semi-transparent gold pouch, with a tiny pin button and the lost tooth certificate.
