I realize that Firefox is a free browser, but I felt it deserved its own mention here on In My Bag. The primary reason for that being that without Firefox, particularly 3.0 (which is still in beta), I wouldn’t be updating nearly as much as I do, both this blog and all of my other blogs, because I can’t stand Internet Explorer.
Firefox 3.0 is still in beta, so I hesitated at downloading it. But I was frustrated with the continual yet random crashes that were occurring with Firefox 2.0, both on my desktop and my laptop. Uninstalling extensions, and then uninstalling Firefox 2.0 altogether and then re-installing it didn’t solve the problem. But removing Firefox 2.0 altogether and then moving onto Firefox 3.0 did solve the problem.
Again, I must stress that Firefox 3.0 is in beta, and “they” recommend that you use it for testing purposes only. However, I have been using Firefox 3.0 beta for almost two weeks now, and have had no crashes, no bugs, no glitches of any kind. In short, I’m definitely hooked on Firefox 3.0, and I eagerly anticipate the release of the final, stable version!
