Down to Philadelphia
Whenever I tell someone that I’m going down to Philadelphia, I have to fight the urge to correct myself. You see, Philadelphia is north of here. So I’m actually going up to Philadelphia. Know what I mean? Or am I rambling?
When I do go to Philly, it isn’t for business purposes or anything far fetched like looking for a hair doctor in philadelphia. I almost always head down (see? There I go again!) to Philadelphia to visit with my dad. My mom and dad divorced when I was six, and my dad stayed in Philly even when we moved away when I was thirteen.
I also go down to Philly for shopping, and sometimes to go to the Philadelphia zoo. I’m dying to take my three year old daughter this spring, because I know she’d love it. It’s just a matter of having the time, the money AND the right kind of weather!
