Rival Crock-PotMy mom has had a Crock-Pot for as long as I can remember. And for as long as I can remember, I have greatly enjoyed the meals that have come out of that delicious Crock-Pot of hers. So when I won a raffle at a company picnic in the summer of 2004, I jumped at the chance of picking a five quart Crock-Pot to have as my very own. Nearly four years later, and the Crock-Pot is still going strong. I pull it out of the cabinet at least once a month to make a delicious, home cooked meal in.

My favorite thing about the Crock-Pot is obviously how easy it is to make an entire meal in it! Today, for instance, the Crock-Pot is cranked up to high, ensuring our dinner of beef rump roast and potatoes is sufficiently delicious and tender. Of course, while the Crock-Pot ensures that a meal is easy to make, it does require time. You’ll find that most Crock-Pot recipes require at least a four hour cook time. My favorite meals take six to ten hours.

Crock-Pots are great for working couples and families, and for those days where you obviously have to make something for dinner, but don’t feel like dirtying a bunch of pans and spending a lot of time doing so. :)
