I’m eager to write my review on the HP Photosmart 8750 series photo printer, but I’m having two issues with its printing:

  • Most photos come out with border on two or more sides, even when I specifically specify borderless prints
  • Most photos come out with jagged borders surrounding different parts of photos; in particular faces, eyes and clothing

I have done some research on these issues, and have found that my operating system may be the culprit. Apparently HP released print drivers that are functional with Windows Vista, but not 100% compatible. Hence the printer not listening to my choice of borders or no borders, and quite possibly the jagged printing issues as well.

I’m searching for a fix, but I may save a bit of time and purchase a used hard drive to install in my desktop, and then install Mac OS X Leopard on it, and try printing from there. I’ll let you know how it goes!
