Resolve High-Traffic Foam

1

Resolve High-Traffic FoamDespite my best efforts of nagging family members and guests to take their shoes off upon entering our home, and using relatively spill-proof sippy cups and keeping snacks in the kitchen or at least contained to the coffee table and couch area, my less than year old carpet has gotten dingy and in need of a good cleaning. I have a steam cleaner, but I heard a lot about Resolve High-Traffic Foam and wanted to try it to work at the worst areas (area around the front door, path from front door to kitchen) first.

The directions come in two variations: self-clean or “assisted” clean. I wanted to do the assisted clean, which consisted of using a damp sponge mop to work the cleaning solution into the carpet, rather than the self-clean method, which was to simply spray the foam on the carpet, then leave it to do its best (worst?) for fifteen minutes, and then vacuuming. So, armed with a new can of Resolve High-Traffic Foam and a brand new sponge mop (appropriately dampened), I got to work. The work was short lived. While the can claims to cover an area up to twelve feet by fourteen feet, the sad truth of the matter is that there was barely enough foam to cover a three foot by five foot area. Or perhaps I was spraying it on too thickly? I don’t know about you, but I was aiming for a coating of foam, not dust.

But despite the very small area I was able to tackle with one can, the foam worked quite nicely. I could see a lot of the grunge coming up with the mop, and that made me happy. Seeing the results of my work is how I know the job is getting done!

In summary, Resolve High-Traffic Foam works, but be prepared to buy several cans if you plan on treating an entire room!
