Darvon, Darvon-N, Darvocet, Distalgesic and Co-Proxamol. The worst drugs ever. Drugs containing the substance (Dextro) Propoxyphene are probably the worst drugs eve. Some of the brands are Darvon, Darvon-N, Darvocet, Distalgesic and Co-Proxamol. Darvon has been a popular painkiller since 1957 in US, and now it is time to ban the drug even in US. In UK the authorities will phase out the drug last December 2007. Restrictions are also implemented in Sweden and hundred of lives. Reserach from Sweden has shown, that during 1992-1999, some 200 persons were poisoned to death every year due to dextropropoxyphene. After restrictions have been implemented twice - 2001 and 2005 - the fatal deaths due to dextropropoxyphene have been reduced.
