Dove Advanced Care

2

Dove Advanced CareI am having hair woes. My hair has always been naturally thick and somewhat coarse (or, as my mother calls it, “horsey hair!”). I began coloring my hair various shades of red, purple, and deep brown since I was fourteen years old, with the occasional blond streak here and there. By last July, I had enough of coloring my hair every month or two, and resolved to let my natural hair color grow out.

And it has been growing out since July. But I have a big problem, and it isn’t my two-toned (deep brown naturally, the colored mess being a slightly brassy, orangey-brown) hair. It’s the health of my hair. For years I have had to purchase deeply moisturizing shampoos and conditioners for my sadly abused hair, or else I wouldn’t be able to get a brush through my hair.
But suddenly I had natural hair coming in… natural hair that would get incredibly slick and greasy within 12 hours of being shampooed and conditioned with Dove Advanced Care.

So here I am, with about 60% of my hair length consisting of dry, damaged hair that needs to be shampooed and conditioned with moisturizing shampoos and conditioners. But the rest? A standard shampoo and conditioner works just fine. So what’s a girl to do? Run around with slick hair, or run around with tangled, matted, coarse, un-brushable hair? Any suggestions?

My advice to you is to try just washing the top of your head with a deep cleansing shampoo. Something that really does well at getting your hair clean.

    I would try
hydralicious self-targeting swirled shampoo for normal hair
and for conditioner i would try

hydralicious: reconditioning conditioner for dry hair care and damaged hair

I would make sure not to put conditioner any where but the ends of your hair. Also if it is really bad I suggest cutting your hair short to help get rid of the damage. It wont repair its self for the most part. If you want want to cut your hair then try a leave in conditioner.
