I use Tide Simple Pleasures for all of my laundry. Simple Pleasures is available in three scents: vanilla & lavender (too vanilla), rose & violet (too cloying, though my mother loves it), magnolia & orange blossom (haven’t tried it) and water lily & jasmine (just perfect!). I have found that water lily & jasmine is the perfect scent. It smells good, scents the clothes nicely, but isn’t overpowering. When used in conjunction with Downy Simple Pleasures fabric softener, the result is very good smelling, soft clothing. Unfortunately, using a liquid fabric softener leaves me with very staciky, clingy clothes, so I usually opt for the dryer sheets.

I love Tide powder. I started using powder detergent last year when my mom bought me a huge supply of Amway detergent. (very concentrated and works pretty well; not scented at all, which I must admit I like) Anyway, since my clothes are not oil stained, powders works so much better for me. I simply have to start the washer with warm water for a very short time then put the clothes in and turn temp back to cold. Our friend Martha swears that powders work better I have to agree. I just love Tide powder!! Surf powder is pretty good too, but not as good as Tide.
