Silly me forgot to back up my music before doing reformats on both my computer and laptop. I was ready to cry when I realized over 2000 songs had just been permanently erased. Then I remembered my iPod, and how all of my songs were on there. I did some googling and decided to download the trial of Music Rescue. It installed easily and was a breeze to set up and run, so I purchased the full version($20). Again, it ran like a breeze. Best of all, I was able to install a version of Music Rescue that could be used on multiple computers, as the verification of purchase was done using a serial code that was placed on my iPod - how cool (and convenient!)! I am happy to report that after letting Music Rescue do its thing, all of my songs in their original format with original file attributes and tags are all back on my computer, safe and sound.
